There was a lot of news coming out of E3 this year, but most of the good stuff got covered on Day 1. (Here’s my pick of the best stories from Day 1).
There was a lot of news over the last couple of days of E3, but most of it was meh in my opinion. I did come across these gems though:
In the tradition of “ye olde steampunked awesomeness”, Dishonored follows in the footsteps of similar genre-based first person action games like BioShock and Bordelands, with the promise of stunning visuals, a great story and the chance to perform all manner of close-quarters takedowns of Victorian-style aristocrats.
If that’ doesn’t equal a great weekend, I don’t know what does.

If there’s one thing LucasArts does right, it’s games. And the latest offering from the purveyors of all things Star Wars looks to be, probably, the most epic of the lot. Here’s an extended look at some initial gameplay – third person, cover-based mechanics and all. Could this unseat Mass Effect as my #1 fav action roleplaying game? Judging from this video…it just might.
Interesting idea this one. In the future where everything (including you and your personal information) is interconnected and controlled by one single global operating system, the biggest threat is if someone, a clever hacker maybe, gains control of it all.
Here’s some gameplay:
Splinter Cell: Black List
I’m super excited about this game. I loved the previous Splinter Cell games. It’s all about stealth, cunning mastering the abilities of Sam Fisher, a master assassin with an arsenal of gadgets at his disposal. This gameplay looks amazing. Just…just watch:
Wash is our resident uber-geek. He sleeps on a pile of comics, speaks fluent Klingon and spends his weekends unleashing all manner of Hell on the battlefields of his PC. If it’s related to gaming, comics, sci-fi or any other form of geekitude… chances are Wash has his sticky paws all over it.
