Sacha Feiner, is a Belgian animator and special effects artist who is probably the world’s biggest Gremlins fan.
He wants to make Gremlins 3 so badly that, back in 2008, he put together a fan-film that he made completely on his own in two months and on a budget of €2500. He built the Gremlin puppets, set up a blue-screen studio in his house and did all the film editing himself. Respect.
Even Joe Dante, the director of the original Gremlins movies, mentioned his work and said it’s “very very well done”.
Feiner’s video, he says, is designed to replace the “broken film” segment of Gremlins 2. Cannot believe I missed this:
I did some Googling on Feiner after I watched this video for the first time and I didn’t really find much else about his Gremlins projects, or even if there’s any movement to enlist his help on a potential Gremlins 3 movie…pity.
Wash is our resident uber-geek. He sleeps on a pile of comics, speaks fluent Klingon and spends his weekends unleashing all manner of Hell on the battlefields of his PC. If it’s related to gaming, comics, sci-fi or any other form of geekitude… chances are Wash has his sticky paws all over it.
